Meeting Jeffry made me feel like I was REALLY making a difference. You see ads on tv and radio about sponsoring kids, but how often are you given the opportunity to meet them and their family and see firshand how your sponsorship is having an impact? I LOVE Jeffry to pieces he totally stole my heart the moment I laid eyes on him and I am forever grateful to him and LifeLink for giving me the opportunity to be a blessing.

We had the privilege and honor to visit with the children six months before classes started at Centro Escolar LifeLink. Coming home we thought we had a pretty good idea about how our sponsorship was going to impact their lives since we were there first hand to see them, meet their families, and to see where and how they lived.
Going back the next year after the children had been in school for six months, we were not even close. To see the children in their classrooms and to feel the excitement of learning both in their native tongue and English all while under the love of Jesus Christ was more than we could have ever expected.
Our sponsorship was to change the lives of the children; however we are the ones who are forever changed by the blessings of these precious little children.
God bless and thank you for all you do LifeLink!DJ & Tammy Goodwin,Pevely, MO

To be able to drive through those gates and actually see the children who have captured my heart, but my eyes have never seen was a moment I’ll never forget and forever cherish. To watch them play, eat and learn, I felt like a proud parent might feel, but to see that first smile from William at me and to get that first big hug from Adrianna was priceless.
To know we have the honor of playing a part in their dreams and changing their future simply by a small sacrifice each month linked with the amazing work of LifeLink International, makes our heart smile and content to know this work has eternal value.

God has blessed me with an extra 35 years since I had my cancer. My one goal in life is to help change the life of at least one person and bring them closer to accepting Christ as Lord and Savior. If I can do that then my life here was well spent. I don’t know how much I can do for the children, but I have an opportunity now to touch not only one life but one hundred.

Last year I visited again to work in the school and had the opportunity to meet with the families and children that we sponsor. As a teacher, when I visit the school I am amazed at how well the teachers and staff do with the children and the community. Over the last three years I have seen so much growth in the children, not just physical and spiritual but academics as well. The first visit you could feel the presence of heaviness on them. This last visit they were laughing, carefree, and displayed a confidence that makes you proud to be part of. On the last visit my daughter and I were able to go to our families homes and see how they live. The families invited us in and showed us around, hugged us, thanked us, and just want to get to connect with us. Over the last three years I have traveled with two of my daughters and my husband to Nicaragua. How cool is it that our families are so intertwined that I know their children and they have met mine?
Now when we pay our monthly sponsorship I don’t just see a child’s face, but I can see a mother, a father, a family, a village and a vision. From far away I am able to bring hope to a child and their family every month. I look forward the my visit in about 15 years when I can really see what an impact the school has had on my families, the village and the whole country of Nicaragua.
