We had a great time this week hosting Hope Without Borders medical clinic outreach! It was an excellent week of work, medicine, and ministry to people in need of Ciudad Sandino and our neighboring city Matare.
Medical access is difficult in the surrounding areas, with many people having to rely on public transportation. Bringing a clinic to them gives them access to much needed consultations and medicine.
Included in the medical clinic was free medication from our portable pharmacy. Antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, and pain relievers were included in the inventory of medications.
Many of the patients were the very young or the very old, with transportation being more difficult for them.
On the final day we ministered at the LifeLink School. This woman was overjoyed to receive new eyeglasses.
Many mothers of young children came to get checkups and height/weight. Vitamins and anti-parasite medication keeps kids on the right track for healthy growth.
At the end of the week we received a visit from the Mayor thanking us for our hard work and dedication! It was an amazing experience that boosted the health of our community and improves peoples quality of life.
